THE TOUR - Part 02 - Wolverhampton and Derby
The last two gigs were super cool. Wolverhampton was a packed venue (with New Order playing next door). We went down really well and received congrats from a load of new and old fans. It was great to meet several people who remembered me from way back (Sonic Assassins). Rick from FTQR records came with us and took some film - the short video will be up here and on myspace very soon.
Derby was a huge venue which was only half full but it was still a very good and supportive crowd. Rick recorded the set and said it was the best sound yet - many thanks to the PA crew. Half way during our set, some guy up in balcony stood up, leaned over the edge and bellowed to the crowd that OBNY was the best guitarist and needed recognising - to great applause. Nice to hear someone on the floor shout out "and the keyboard player'. Really great feedback from everywhere (except the guitar). The barman said to us that even those who didn't like our music liked the guitar playing. cool!!!! So OBNY has returned to France and we are going to work on finishing the album at distance using the internet. Only the vocals and guitar to finish on most of the songs with two more songs still to be chosen and recorded. Watch this website for more updates soon ! Thanks !
